WEEK OF FEB. 27- MARCH 2
ALGEBRA 2 HONORS
We start the week off by reviewing Sections 9-3, 9-4, and 9-6 for a quiz Tuesday. Then we will cover Section 9-5 on Classes of Functions and we have finished the chapter. A Chapter test is scheduled for early next week.
ALGEBRA 1A CP2
This week we begin a chapter on Inequalities. We will how to graph inequalities and solve using addition and/or subtraction. Our usual quiz will be Friday.
ALGEBRA 1 CP1
We continue our work in Chapter 8 this week with the concept of Polynomials. We will learn how to write them in ascending and descending order and how to add/subtract them. From there I will show you how to multiply a polynomial by a monomial. This should not be too tough for you because we multiplied monomials before vacation and it is very similar. Expect your next quiz early next week, probably Monday.
GEOMETRY HONORS
We begin the week by reviewing for a quiz Tuesday on Sections 7-4 & 7-5, Trigonometry and its applications. From there we will learn the Law of Sines and Law of Cosines. This will finish the chapter and put us in line for a Chapter Test sometime next week. I'm not exactly sure when this will happen next week because of the day off Tuesday and half-day Wednesday. We will talk about it.

WEEK OF FEB. 13-17
ALGEBRA 2 HONORS
We start the week off by finishing Section 9-6, on solving rational equations and inequalities. From there we go back to Section 9-3, graphing rational functions. In this section we will learn what a vertical asymptote is and how the graph of a line can have a hole. Then we will deal with the three different types of variation; direct, inverse, and joint. A quiz will come sometime after vacation.
ALGEBRA 1A CP2
Last week you learned the concept of Slope-Intercept. This week I will show you how to graph these types of equations and introduce you to the x and y intercepts . Our usual quiz will be on Friday.
ALGEBRA 1 CP1
This week will learn how to multiply and divide monomials. You will also be introduced to the concept of negative exponents, a very important aspect of Algebra. A quiz will be on Friday.
GEOMETRY HONORS
The week begins with a quiz on Section 7-3 and then we begin right triangle trigonometry. The concepts of sine, cosine, and tangent are introduced along with problem solving applications. From there we will use these concepts to work with angles of elevation and depression. We will have a quiz during the week after vacation.

WEEK OF FEB. 6-10
ALGEBRA 2 HONORS
The week begins with a review of Sections 9-1 & 9-2 for a quiz Tuesday. Wednesday is a half-day and we will do Problem Solving. Then Section 9-6 will be discussed. It concerns solving Rational Equations and Inequalities. We will spend at least two days on this concept before a review and a quiz.
ALGEBRA 1A CP2
Last week was spent working on Point-Slope. This week we will cover the Slope-Intercept Form, also known as y=mx+b. Wednesday is a half-day so we will do a Problem Solving assignment. Our usual quiz will be Friday.
ALGEBRA 1 CP1
The week begins with graphing Systems of Inequalities. We have already graphed one inequality on the coordinate axes but now we will graph two inequalities on the SAME graph. In many cases the graphs will overlap when shading. This will be the solution. Wednesday is a half-day and we will do a Problem Solving assignment. From there we will begin one of the most important chapters of the year. It is on Polynomials and all of their properties. We will spend a few weeks on this chapter, covering it quite thoroughly.
GEOMETRY HONORS
This week will be spent discussing the Special Right Triangles, the 45-45-90 and the 30-60-90. A quiz is scheduled for Friday on these concepts. Wednesday, the half-day, will be a Problem Solving day.
