WEEK OF MARCH 26-30

ALGEBRA 2 HONORS
We start the week off by continuing Section 10-4 on Common Logarithms and the Change of Base Formula. Then we will go to Section 10-5, the Base e and Natural Logarithms (ln). we will spend two days in this section, review on Thursday, and have a quiz Friday on Sections 10-4 & 10-5. These grades will go on the 4th term.

ALGEBRA 1A CP2
We begin the week with Section 12-7, graphing Inequalities with two variables. We have already graphed equations with two variables, so these should not be that difficult. We will spend two days in this section and then begin Chapter 8, Powers and Exponents. Our weekly quiz will be on Friday.

ALGEBRA 1CP1
The week starts off with a quiz on Sections 9-1 & 9-2. I will then begin discussing Section 9-3 on Factoring Trinomials. The rest of the week and next week will be spent on different types of Factoring, which we started last week. There may be a quiz Friday but if there is, the grade will go on the 4th term.

GEOMETRY HONORS
A review of Sections 8-4 to 8-6 starts the week with a quiz Tuesday. This takes us to the end of Chapter 8 so we will review the chapter and test on Friday. This grade will go on the 4th term as we discussed last week. From ther we will jump up to Chapter 10 on Circles.
Before the end of 4th term and the year we need to cover Chapters 10-13. Chapter 11 covers Areas of different polygons we have studied this year. Chapters 12 & 13 deal with solid shapes such as prisms, pyramids, cones, cylinders, and spheres. I will combine Chapters 12 & 13 together as one chapter and discuss one shape at a time.

WEEK OF MARCH 19-23

ALGEBRA 2 HONORS
The week begins with a quiz on Sections 10-1 to 10-3, Exponential Functions and Logarithms. You will be taking MCAS Tuesday through Thursday and won't have class unlee testing finishes early Thursday. From there we will be working on Section 10-4, Common Logarithms. These are in base ten, which is what your calculator is set up for, so you will be using them extensively.

ALGEBRA 1 CP2
We continue our work with Inequalities this week by introducing you to Absolute Value Inequalities. Since you already know how to solve absolute value equations, the inequalities aren't any more difficult.
Because of MCAS Testing this week we will be moving our class to the Backstage area on Tuesday and Wednesday. It will still be a normal class except we won't have the books to use. I think we will be back in our normal class Thursday but we need to listen to the annoucements. Our usual weekly quiz will be Friday.

ALGEBRA 1 CP1
This week we will begin Chapter 9 on Factoring, one of the most important chapters we will do this year. We start off by discussing what a factor is and how to use a GCF. From there we will work on factoring using the GCF and then go to factoring trinomials.

GEOMETRY HONORS
The week begins with a review of Sections 8-1 to 8-3 for a quiz on Tuesday. Then we will spend a day each on Rectangles, Squares and Rhombi, and Trapezoids. This will put us at the end of another chapter, so expect a Chapter Test early next week.

Counting this week there are only two weeks left in the Third Term. Ity's amazing how quickly the term and the year has gone by. Please be sure to get all work caught up before the end of next week.

WEEK OF MARCH 12-16

ALGEBRA 2 HONORS
This week we continue our work in Chapter 10, concentrating on Logarithms and their properties. A logarithm is the inverse of an exponential function, which was covered last week. We will cover Sections 10-2 & 10-3 this week with a quiz coming sometime next week. Right now I am not sure when the quiz will be because of Sophomore MCAS Testing.

ALGEBRA 1A CP2
This week we continue our work with Inequalities, solving multi-step and compound inequalities. It is important that you remember the basic rules for solving equations and for multiplying and dividing by negative numbers. Our usual quiz will be Friday.
Because of MCAS Testing next week our class will be moved. I will find out Wednesday where we will be going and for which days next week, so stay tuned...

ALGEBRA 1CP1
The week begins with a review of Section 8-7 & 8-8, multiplying polynomials and special products for a quiz Tuesday. Then we will briefly discuss Scientific Notation and then review for a Chapter Test next week.

GEOMETRY HONORS
We continue our work in Chapter 8 this week, covering Sections 8-2 & 8-3, Parallelograms and Tests for Parallelograms. There are several properties and definitions that you will be responsible for in order to be successful in these sections. If everything goes according to plan, we will have a quiz Friday on Sections 8-1 to 8-3.

WEEK OF MARCH 5-9

ALGEBRA 2 HONORS
The week begins with a test on Chapter 9. No school Tuesday. Wednesday is a half-day so we will do a Problem Solving exercise. The rest of the week will be spent in Chapter 10, on Logarithms.

ALGEBRA 1A CP2
We continue our work this week with Inequalities solving multiplication and division problems. No school Tuesday. Wednesday is a half-day so we will be doing a Problem Solving Exercise. The week will end with us working on solving multi-step inequalities and ouer usual quiz Friday.

ALGEBRA 1 CP1
We start the week off with a quiz on Sections 8-4 to 8-6 on polynomials. No school Tuesday. Wednesday is a half-day so we will do a Problem Solving Exercise. We will then continue on with Section 8-7, multiplying polynomials. In this section you will learn how to multiply two binomialstogether as well as a binomial by a trinomial.

GEOMETRY HONORS
We continue our review of Chapter 7 for a test Thursday. No school Tuesday. Wednesday is a half-day so we will do a Problem Solving Exercise. Then we begin Chapter 8 on Quadrilaterals.
