WEEK OF MAY 13-17

ALGEBRA 2 HONORS
         We  begin the week by finishing up our MCAS Geometry Review.  I will not see you again until Thursday because of MCAS.  Good Luck!!  When we meet later this week we will be in Chapter 7, Polynomial Functions.  This is our final chapter and I will only cover specific sections in it.  Then we can begin our Final Exam review.

ALGEBRA 1A CP2
         We finish up Chapter 9 by covering Section 9-5, Special Products, and then go right to Chapter 10 on Factoring.  We will learn what factors are, prime factors, composite numbers, and the GCF.  Our weekly quiz will be Friday.  Remember because of MCAS we move to the Backstage Area Tuesday and Wednesday.  Make sure you listen to an announcements because this could possibly change and we might end up in our normal classroom.

ALGEBRA 1 CP1
         We start the week off Monday with a short quiz on multiplying and dividing radicals.  Then we will review ALL Operations with Radicals and have another quiz Wednesday.  From there I will begin a review for your Final Exam by covering Chapters 1-3 nd then quizzing you on it.

GEOMETRY HONORS
          The week begins with a Chapter 11 Test on Areas.  I will then combine Chapters 12 & 13 together as we work on Areas & Volumes of Solids.  Prisms, Cylinders, Pyramids, Cones, and Spheres will be covered over the next two weeks before we start a Final Exam Review.

WEEK OF MAY 7-11

ALGEBRA 2 HONORS
         We will finish Chapter 8 on Conics this week by covering Sections 8-6, Identifying Conic Sections, and 8-7, Solving Quadratic Systems by Graphing and Algebra.  The rest of the week will spent on a Geometry Review to help prepare for the Math MCAS next week.

ALGEBRA 1A CP2
        We continue our work with polynomials by multiplying a monomial by a polynomial and then multiplying two binomials together using the Distributive Property.  Our weekly quiz will be on Friday. 

ALGEBRA 1 CP1
         We continue our work with radicals this week with a brief quiz on simplifying, adding, and subtracting radicals.  The remainder of the week will be spent on multiplying and dividing radicals with a quiz at its conclusion.

GEOMETRY HONORS
          We review for a quiz Tuesday on Section 11-1 to 11-3.  Section 11-4 deals with finding the area of irregular figures, shapes that can be broken into different polygons, finding the area of each shape, and adding them together.  Then Section 11-5 concerns Geometric Probability and finding the area of a sector.
