WEEK OF FEB. 25 - MARCH 1

ALGEBRA 1 CP1
        We start the week off by finishing up Section 6-5 with more Systems of Equations word problems.  Then we will spend two days in Section 6-6, Systems of Inequalities with Graphing.  If all goes according to plan there will be a quiz Friday on Sections 6-5 and 6-6.

ALGEBRA 1 CP2
        For the last two weeks we have been solving simple inequalities and graphing their solutions.  This week we will solve multi-step inequalities and compound inequalities.  The multi-step inequalities should not be a problem for you since you all know how to solve multi-step equations and you now know how to solve simple inequalities.  The compund problems will take a bit longer to learn.  Our usual quiz is Friday.

GEOMETRY HONORS
         Before our break we were working with the Law of Sines.  This week we will finish up the chapter with the Law of Cosines, another way to find missing sides and angles of triangles that are not right triangles.  We will then review the chapter and a Test is scheduled for Thursday.  The next chapter is all about Quadrilaterals and the special types.

ALGEBRA 2 HONORS
         Before our vacation we were working on adding and subtracting rational expressions.  Monday will be spent reviewing this concept before reviewing for a quiz on Sections 9-1 & 9-2 Wednesday.  Then we will go to Section 9-3, Graphing Rational Functions.  Here you will be introduced to the concept of an "asymptote" and how it affects your graphs.  Section 9-4 deals with Direct, Inverse, and Joint Variation, a series of proportions.

WEEK OF FEB. 4-8

ALGEBRA 1 CP1
         Last week we began solving systems of equations by graphing and by Substitution.  This week we continue with the introduction of Elimination by Addition and then by Multiplication.  I will spend about 2-3 days on elimination and a quiz is scheduled for Friday.

ALGEBRA 1 CP2
         This week I will jump in our book up to Chapter 12, Inequalities and their Graphs.  We will be solving Inequalities and then graphing their solutions on number lines.  The concepts of "Greater Than"  and "Less Than" will be discussed in detail.  Our weekly quiz will be Friday, as usual. 

GEOMETRY HONORS
         We continue Section 7-4 on Trigonometry Monday and then move on to some applications with the introduction of Angles of Elevation and Depression.  A quiz is scheduled for Friday.

ALGEBRA 2 HONORS
         Last week we finished Chapter 6 and had a chapter review worksheet for the weekend's homework.  monday will see us going over this worksheet and wrapping up the chapter.  A Test is scheduled for Tuesday.  From there we will jump up to Chapter 9, Rational Expressions, of which I will cover it thoroughly.
