ALGEBRA 2 HONORS
We begin the week by finishing the review sheet I passed out before vacation on Sections 8-6 & 8-7. We will have a quiz Tuesday. Then we will start Chapter 10 on Logarithms. I am planning to cover Sections 10-1 & 10-2 by Friday.
ALGEBRA 1 CP2
This week we will do a unit on Probability. We will have our weekly quiz Friday. From there we will go back and I will reteach the concept of Factoring, since there are several problems on your Final.
GEOMETRY HONORS
We start the week off with Chapter 11 on Areas. In this chapter we we study the areas of such shapes as parallelograms, triangles, trapezoids, rhombi, regular polygons, and irregular poygons. I have scheduled a quiz this week for Thursday on Sections 11-1 to 11-3.
ALGEBRA 1 CP1
This week we go to Chapter 11 on Rational Expressions. We start with Section 11-3 on Simplifying Rational Expressions. Then we will cover multipliaction and division of Rational expression before we have a quiz, tentatively scheduled for Friday.
WE HAVE SEVEN WEEKS OF CLASS LEFT BEFORE WE BEGIN OUR LAST WEEK OF FINAL EXAMS. NOW IS THE TIME TO PUT FORTH YOUR FINEST EFFORT. GOOD LUCK!!!

WEEK OF APRIL 14-17
ALGEBRA 2 HONORS
This week we are finishing Chapter 8 on Conics. Section 8-6 deals with identifying conic sections by either putting them into standard form or using a table from the text to determine the conic. Section 8-7 solves Quadratic Systems either by graphing or by the use of Algebra. Since the week is only 4 days I will probably not be able to squeeze in a quiz, so we will have one right after the break.
ALGEBRA 1 CP2
We continue our work with Radicals this week by solving Radical Equations.Monday through Wednesday. Since we have a 4 day week our quiz will then be on Thursday.
GEOMETRY HONORS
We start the week with a final wrapup of Chapter 10 on Circles so that we can test on Tuesday. From there we go to Chapter 11 on Areas. In this chapter we will find the areas of such shapes as parallelograms, triangles, trapezoids, rhombi, rectangles, squares, and regular polygons, much of which will be found on the MCAS next year.
ALGEBRA 1 CP1
We continue our review of factoring this week. We will cover the Magic Number, difference of two squares, and factoring completely. A quiz is scheduled for Thursday since we only have a 4 day week.

WEEK OF APRIL 7-11
ALGEBRA 2 HONORS
The week will be spent working on Section 8-2, Parabolas. A quiz is planned for Friday.
ALGEBRA 1 CP2
We will spend most of the week continuing our work on radicals, concentrating on division of radicals. We will have a test on all radicals on Friday.
GEOMETRY HONORS
We start the week off with a quiz Monday on Sections 10-4 to 10-6 , Inscribed Angles, Tangents, and Secants. Then we cover Sections 10-7 and 10-8 to finish off the chapter. A Chapter Test is scheduled for early next week, either Monday or Tuesday.
ALGEBRA 1 CP1
This week I am introducing the classes to the concepts of Factorial, Permutations, and Combinations. 5! (called 5 factorial) = 5x4x3x2x1=120. A quiz on this material is scheduled for Thursday or Friday. I will go back and reteach the concept of factoring.
THIS IS THE BEGINNING OF THE FOURTH TERM. THE YEAR HAS GONE BY SO QUICKLY AND WE ALL NEED TO MAKE A STRONG EFFORT DURING THIS TERM. I AM ALWAYS AFETR SCHOOL SO PLEASE TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS OPPORTUNITY.
