We start the week off by going over the review sheet on Sections 10-1 to 10-3 that was given to you last Friday. Because of PARCC Testing Tuesday we will begin the quiz Wednesday the half-day and finish it Thursday. Then we will go to 10-4 , Common Logs and base ten logs. I have also set up a Problem Solving exercise for homework Wednesday.

Because of PARCC Testing we have no class Monday but will have a quiz Tuesday on Rational Equations. I have a Problem Solving set up for the half day on Wednesday. Then we will review major concepts that will prepare us for the Final Exam.

We begin the week by continuing in Section 5-9, Complex Numbers ( a+ bi ). We will learn the four operations with these numbers, which are very similar to the operations with radicals. I have a quiz scheduled on Wednesday for Sections 5-8 & 5-9. From there we will go to Chapter 6 on Quadratic Functions and hopefully get through the first 2 sections by the end of the week.

We start the week by continuing in Section 6-1, Graphing Quadratic Functions. Then my plan is to cover Sections 6-2 and 6-3 this week. In these sections we will learn how to solve Quadratic Equations by graphing and by factoring. These sections are a prelude to the Quadratic Formula, which appears after this. I have planned a quiz for the Tuesday after Feb. Vacation on Sections 6-1 through 6-3.
ALGEBRA 1 CP1
I will cover Section 8-9 on the Square Root Property Monday, review Tuesday, and have a quiz on Sections 8-8 and 8-9 Wednesday. From there we will return to Section 7-5 and learn how to graph Exponential Functions. After vacation we will go to Chapter 9 on Quadratic Functions.
GEOMETRY HONORS
We begin the week with a quiz on Sections 7-1 & 7-2. I will then spend most of the week on Section 7-3, Special Right Triangles. If I can fit in a quiz on 7-3 I will try for Friday. If not then the Tuesday after vacation.

WEEK OF JAN. 26 - 30
ALGEBRA 2 CP1
My plan for the week is to finish off Section 2-6 by covering Piecewise Function and then going on to Chapter 6, Quadratic Functions, and covering Sections 6-1 and 6-2.

We will continue Section 8-7 , Factoring with the Magic Number, for most of the week and then have a quiz on it. Then I will jump back to Section 7-5 and cover Exponential Functions and their graphs.

The week will be spent covering Sections 7-1 and 7-2 on Right Triangles. We will learn the Geometric Mean and the Pythagorean Theorem. We will have a quiz after I finish 7-2.
