WEEK OF MAY 18-22

ALGEBRA 2 CP1
        We start the week off by going over the review sheet on Sections 10-1 to 10-3 that was given to you last Friday.  Because of PARCC Testing Tuesday we will begin the quiz Wednesday the half-day and finish it Thursday.  Then we will go to 10-4 , Common Logs and base ten logs.  I have also set up a Problem Solving exercise for homework Wednesday.

ALGEBRA 1 CP1
        Because of PARCC Testing we have no class Monday but will have a quiz Tuesday on Rational Equations.  I have a Problem Solving set up for the half day on Wednesday.  Then we will review major concepts that will prepare us for the Final Exam.

GEOMETRY HONORS
         Because of PARCC Testing we do not meet until Tuesday.  We will cover Section 11-4 Areas of Irregular Figures.  I have a Problem Solving Exercise for Wednesday and then we go to Section 11-5 on Geometric Probability.  In this section you will learn what a sector is and how to find its area.  Once I have finished 11-5 I will go to a combined Chapters 12 & 13 in which we will learn about solids.

ALGEBRA 1 CP2
         This week we will begin our review for the Final Exam.  I will go back and reteach certain concepts that we have learned during the second half of the year.  And as always we will still have our weekly quiz on Friday.  It will cover the review material that I go over during the week.

WEEK OF MAY 11-15

ALGEBRA 2 CP1
        The week will be spent on Sections 10-2 & 10-3 Logarithms and its Properties.  A quiz will be given when we finish and review Sections 10-1 to 10-3, probably early next week.

ALGEBRA1 CP1
         We will spend the week on Section 11-8, Solving Rational Equations.  Period C will miss 2 classes this week because of PARCC but not Period E.  Therefore I will spend all week on this section with a quiz scheduled for early next week.

GEOMETRY HONORS
          The week begins with us covering Section 11-3, Areas of Regular Polygons.  A quiz is scheduled for Thursday on Sections 11-1 to 11-3.  We will cover Section 11-4 , Areas of Irregular Figures, on Friday.

ALGEBRA 1 CP2
         We will be spending the week dealing with the concept of Probability.  Our weekly quiz will be Friday.

WEEK OF MAY 4 - 8

ALGEBRA 2 CP1
       This week we finish off Chapter 9 by covering Sections 9-4 and 9-5.  We will learn about direct, inverse, and joint variation and review the classes of functions that we have been graphing this year.  A quiz on Sections 9-3 to 9-5 is scheduled for Thursday.  Friday we will begin Chapter 10 on Logarithms.

ALGEBRA 1 CP1
        We continue our work on Section 11-5 by doing more problems with long division and synthetic division.  Then we will spend at least two days on Section 11-6, Adding and Subtracting Rational Expressions.  I have tentatively scheduled a quiz for Friday on Sections 11-5 and 11-6.

GEOMETRY HONORS
       We begin the week by reviewing Sections 10-4 to 10-6 for a quiz Tuesday.  Then we will finish the chapter by covering 10-7 and 10-8.  I have tentatively scheduled a Chapter 10 Test for next Tuesday.

ALGEBRA 1 CP2
         We continue our work with radicals this week by covering Radical Equations and the Pythagorean Theorem.  Our weekly quiz will be on Friday.
