WEEK OF NOV. 28-DEC. 2
ALGEBRA 2 HONORS
This week we will be working with radicals and their operations. We will have a quiz on Friday. Then we will begin work on rational exponents and radical equations.
ALGEBRA 1A CP2
We have been working on the Percent Proportion and will continue this Monday. Then we will move to the Percent Equation, which is basically the same concept and will spend the rest of the week on it with our usual quiz Friday.
ALGEBRA 1CP1
We continue our work with Slope-Intercept (y=mx+b) and then go to Point-Slope for 2-3 days. A quiz is scheduled for the end of the week.
GEOMETRY HONORS
We have been working on proving triangles congruent by using the SSS, SAS, ASA, and AAS Postulates in formal two-column proofs. This week we take this another step by proving that corresponding parts are congruent. The concept of CPCTC will be reintroduced and used in our proofs. A quiz is scheduled for Wednesday or Thursday. Then we will move on to Isosceles Triangles

WEEK OF NOV. 21-25
ALGEBRA 2 HONORS
We finish off Section 5-4 on Factoring Monday and have a quiz on Tuesday. After our break, we will start working with radicals.
ALGEBRA 1A CP2
We continue our work with proportions. Word problems will be introduced Monday. Tuesday will find us working on the Percent Proportion and we will continue this after Thanksgiving. No quiz this week!!
ALGEBRA 1 CP1
We start the week off with a quick quiz on Slope. Then we will work on the concept of Slope-Intercept (y=mx+b) and will continue this after Thanksgiving.
GEOMETRY HONORS
We continue working on proving triangles congruent by solving proofs using SSS, SAS. ASA, and AAS. We will continue this after Thanksgiving including the concept of CPCTC in our proofs.
I hope that you all have a safe and enjoyable Thanksgiving

WEEK OF NOV.13-18
ALGEBRA 2 HONORS
This week we will continue our packet on Factoring with Problem Solving on the half-day Wednesday. Homework will be from the packet. We will have a quiz/test some time next week.
ALGEBRA 1A CP2
This week we begin Chapter 5, on Proportions and Probability. We will spend most of the week learning how to solve proportions with Problem Solving on the half-day Wednesday. Our usual quiz will be Friday.
ALGEBRA 1 CP1
We will have a quiz Tuesday on Sections 4-5 & 4-6, graphing equations in Standard Form and Functions. Problem Solving is on the half-day Wednesday. Then we will go to Chapter 5 and introduce you to the concept of Slope.
GEOMETRY HONORS
We have been working on Angles of Triangles and I will spend one more day on the concept. From there we will begin to, prove that Triangles are Congruent using the following: SSS, SAS, ASA, and AAS. We will also do Problem Solving on the half-day Wednesday

WEEK OF NOV. 7-11
ALGEBRA 2 HONORS
We continue Sect. 5-3, Dividing Polynomials, on Monday with a worksheet, review Sect. 5-1 to 5-3 on Tuesday, and quiz on Wednesday. Then we will start a unit on Factoring from Sect. 5-4. We will spend several days on this section and then have a quiz on it sometime next week.
ALGEBRA 1A CP2
We have been solving equations for a least two weeks now and will continue to do so. On Monday we will finish up equations with variables on both sides and then go on to equations with grouping symbols, using the Distributive Property. We will have our quiz Thursday because of the short week.
ALGEBRA 1 CP1
We start the week off by graphing Linear Equations in Standard Form, Ax+By=C, by introducing and using the x-and -y intercepts. From there you will be introduced to the concept of Functions. We will learn why a relation is a function and the use of function notation f(x).
GEOMETRY HONORS
The week begins with a review of Chapter 3, with a Test tomorrow. Then we will begin Chapter 4, Congruent Triangles. You will learn how to classify triangles by sides and angles, and then go on to Angles of Triangles. Concepts to be covered include the Triangle Angle Sum Theorem and the Exterior Angle Theorem.
First Term is now officially over. Repost Cards come out Thursday. This week starts a new term and we need to stay consistent in our efforts. With the Holidays coming our minds tend to wander(mine included), but we need to stay focused. As always I am after school most every day. Just check with me if you are coming.

WEEK OF OCT.31-NOV.4
ALGEBRA 2 HONORS
We are having a Test Tuesday on Chapter 3. Monday was spent as a review day and I was after school for help yesterday. We will then begin work in Chapter 5 on Polynomials. The most important section is the one on Factoring, 5-4, but you will be reintroduced to the concepts of Monomials and their operations, as well as polynomials.
ALGEBRA 1A CP2
This week will be spent solving multi-step equations, as well as equations with variables on both sides. This is one of the most important concepts of Algebra 1 and needs to be covered thoroughly, so we will spend extra time on it. We have our usual quiz on Friday, but since the term ends Friday, the grades will go on the second term.
ALGEBRA 1 CP1
We ended last week discussing the Coordinate Plane and the plotting of points on a graph. The class was very comfortable with this concept because you have worked on this for the past 3-4 years. From there we will cover the concept of Transformations and the different types (reflection, translation, dilation, and rotation), and how they are drawn on a coordinate graph. From there you will be introduced to relations and functions. If we have any type of quiz this week it will go on the second term because grades close Friday.
GEOMETRY HONORS
Last week we started discussing Point-Slope and Slope-Intercept forms of equations of lines. Yesterday we finished these concepts with a worksheet for homework. From there we will talk about the rules used to prove that lines are parallel given that they are not parallel to start off. Then we will finish off the chapter by finding the distance between two parallel lines. Expect a Chapter Test sometime next week
