WEEK OF OCT. 15-19

ALGEBRA 1 CP1
        The week begins with a review of solving equations with variables on both sides.  We have been working on this concept for three days now and you will have a quiz on Tuesday.  Besides that I am introducing you to Problem Solving using the 4Step Method; Explore, Plan, Solve, and Check.  Aproblem will be assigned Monday and due on Tuesday.
         From there we will spend at least two days on Section 2-5, Absolute Value Equations,  before we move on to Ratios and Proportions.


ALGEBRA 1 CP2
         We start the week by doing some Problem Solving using the 4 Step Method mentioned above.  A problem will be assigned for your homework Monday.  Then we will be working on Section 3-7, Equations with Absolute Value.  Our weekly quiz will on Friday, as usual.


GEOMETRY HONORS
          We begin the week with Problem Solving.  Most of you had this concept last year but it will be explained in class so that there are no misunderstandings.  From there we begin Chapter 3, Parallel and Perpendicular Lines.   Your next quiz will come after Section 3-3, which will be next week.


ALGEBRA 2 HONORS
         We begin the week with a review of Sections 3-1 & 3-2 on Systems of Equations in order to have a quiz Tuesday.  Homework on Monday will be your First Problem Solving assignment.  We will then get into Section 3-3, solving systems of Inequalities by Graphing, before going to Section 3-4, Linear Programming.
          Remember that you are taking the PSATs Wednesday during Period A-D in Red and Yellow Hallways.  Good Luck!
