WEEK OF DEC. 9-13

ALGEBRA 2 HONORS
         We start the week in Section 9-6, Solving Rational Equations and Inequalities.  A quiz is scheduled for Thursday on 9-6.  From there we will return to Chapter 5 and finish it.  Most of the rest of the chapter deals with the concept of Radicals, Rational Exponents, and Complex Numbers.  It will be here where you will be able to find the square root of a negative number.

ALGEBRA 1 CP2
         We will spend the week factoring simple trinomials into a product of two binomials.  We already know how to multiply binomials but in this case we will be working backwards to get our answers.  Our weekly quiz will be Friday.


GEOMETRY HONORS
          We start in Chapter 6 this week.  It deals with Proportions and Similarity.  We will cover Sections 6-1 through 6-3 this week and a quiz is scheduled for Friday.


ALGEBRA 1 CP1
         We continue our work factoring trinomials.  This week the first term will have a coefficient that is not one.  You will learn a method that I call the "Magic Number", but there really isn't anything magic about it.  All you have to do is follow some simple rules and since most of you proved that you can factor simple trinomials, these should not be too bad for you.  A quiz is scheduled for Friday.
